Training needs are assessed independently and recorded in the Company Induction Manual. Trainee staff are assigned a training officer for the first three months who has full knowledge of NVQ, Health & Safety, Health & Hygiene, First Aid and Fire Fighting. Trainee staff are provided with an extensive ACL Induction Course, linked into the Skills For Care Common Induction Standards which is assessed and reviewed upon completion and open discussions are encouraged to ascertain strengths and future training requirements finalising in the issue of a certificate.
Trainees are encouraged to continue studying to the higher units of NVQ III and an In-House Assessor evaluates their progress along with other spheres such as first aid and fire fighting. All staff attend regular supervision with their Line Manager.
